It's going to be a blast!

Somerset County Cricket Club Partnership

We’re thrilled to announce that for 2022, we are an Official Restaurant partner and Official Sponsor of Somerset County Cricket Club.

Keeping close to its coastal roots, Hub Box, the renowned and much-loved South West purveyor of award-winning burgers, barbeque and beer has come a long way from its beginnings on St. Ives harbour. With restaurants now spanning the South West and Wales, there are further plans for expansion as the impressive business continues to grow.

With its signature vibrant style, each restaurant is completely unique – celebrating South West coast and surf culture, with a modern and spirited feel.  Expect light and fresh décor, with a focus on sustainable interiors made with reclaimed materials and upcycled furnishings.

Hub Box believes food should taste incredible, with seasonality and local produce as top priorities. Local suppliers include grass-fed moorland beef from Philip Warren, free-range chicken from Castlemead Poultry, artisan hot dogs from Rare and Pasture in Devon, made from free range, rare breed pork. They also utilize Baker Tom’s Cornish clotted cream buns and potatoes from Colwith Farm for their hand-cut fries.

Regarding the new partnership, SCCC Commercial Director, Caroline Herbert said: “We are really excited by this new partnership. Hub Box are a dynamic brand with a global outlook and their roots firmly based in the West Country.

“With a Hub Box restaurant so close to the Cooper Associates County Ground, this is a great match for everyone involved, especially our Members, who will receive a 10% discount on their bill when they visit a Hub Box restaurant and show their Membership card on non-matchdays.”

Hub Box Founder and CEO, Richard Boon, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Somerset County Cricket Club and cannot wait for the cricket season to begin! I’ve got many happy memories from my childhood down there with my dad.”

“With restaurants located in many areas that SCCC’s fans come from, it seemed a no-brainer in becoming part of the Club’s family. Their commitment to striving for the best and being fiercely proud of their heritage are most certainly values that we share – bring on 2022!”

Their packed menu of signature burgers includes grass-fed, outdoor reared beef patties like the Hub Burger which made it to the finals of the 2021 National Burger Awards, alongside higher welfare, free-range chicken burgers like the Dirty Disco burger.

Hub Box also offers an extensive plant-based menu alongside meat-free alternatives using produce from Beyond Meat and THIS.

Coming a long way from its beginnings as Hub on St. Ives harbour in 2003, Hub Box now has 10 restaurants across the UK, with further expansion plans for 2022.
