As anyone knows, working in hospitality is not easy, so when considering a long walk down a short pier after being knocked of the top slot on Trip Advisor by an imaginary garden shed restaurant serving pot noodles, a glimmer of hope comes in the form of the industry awards season.
The Bristol Good Food Awards was first up and our latest addition, HUBBOX Bristol, walked away with Best Chain Restaurant… an award we were not only surprised but especially proud of as we beat off competition from Giggling Squid, Jamie’s Kitchen, Wahaca, Cau, and Boston Tea Party.
This year HUBBOX were once again invited “Up the Smoke”, West Country speak for London, to compete as a finalist at Casual Dining’s National Burger of the year, an award we won back in 2015 with the Big Kahuna. We are getting noticed in the national business news too, HUBBOX managed to be included in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 feature and highlighted in the Ones to Watch 10 Shortlist, something which we are very proud of.
2017 ended with the “Best Food on the Go” at the The Plymouth Herald’s City and Waterfront Awards 2017 . These awards can sit in the trophy cabinet along side the fore mentioned National Burger award 2015, A WOCA (What’s On Cornwall Award) Best Burger Joint, and the two consecutive wins for best family restaurant in St Ives Hub 2014/2015, there still room for more!
