National Burger Day

On the 25th August, burger lovers from all over the country united over perfectly browned buns, meticulously made meat patties, and fries of all beautiful shapes and sizes.

This year marks the fourth annual National Burger Day, which was created by Mr Hyde and Street Feast. Seeing that the US celebrates two burger days each year, and the UK celebrated none, Mr Hyde worked with burger bars, trucks, and restaurants across the country to put on events and offer discounts to the well-deserving burger punters in need of their fix. From Newcastle to Northampton and Derby to Dover, 925 restaurants participated in National Burger Day 2016.

Here at HUBBOX, we thought we’d take our appreciation for our burgers and our customers just one step further, so we gave away 250 free burgers at our Plymouth HUBBOX in a huge burger extravaganza.

Hungry guys and gals queued outside our restaurant from 11am to get their hands on one of our fresh-off-the-grill burgers. By midday, the news spread and we had a line circling all the way around the block. Have no fear though, we took good care of these committed burger folk with milkshake samples, balloons, and delicious smells wafting from the grill.

A massive thank you to everyone that came down and celebrated with us at Plymouth, and to those who enjoyed their 20% off in our other restaurants. We’re already getting the kitchen prepped for next year. We anticipate more burgers, more balloons, and more love for the best day of the year…
