HUBBOX pro surfer Tom Lowe was the first of many outstanding entries in the new 2016 TAG Heuer Wipeout of the Year category. Lowey performed one of the longest free-falls ever caught on camera, his signature “pencil”, at Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
“I don’t know if to should be stoked from this nomination or not! Obviously, my plan was to make it and ride the wave of my life, but sometimes things don’t go according to plan, for sure I’m happy to not only be uninjured but for my name to be out there. Thanks to Alex for capturing this madness,” said Tom.
The WSL Big Wave Awards acknowledge the achievements of the world’s finest surfers in the biggest waves, anywhere in the world.
